My husband loves to barbecue and often tries new recipes. Not simple recipes, mind you, but complicated ones where wood chip flavors and charcoal placement/temperature are critical to the outcome. He's even made some very delicious homemade pizza on the grill.
Although today's grilling adventure was a lot less complicated than usual, it took our evening dessert to a whole new level. A simple hot fudge sundae became quite the fancy treat when you add grilled pineapple and bananas.
The pineapples were enhanced with brown sugar and cinnamon and tasted very much like baked apples.
