Wrapped, Stacked & Layered Challenge: Reveal

Today is the reveal day for the Wrapped, Stacked & Layered Challenge hosted by Tracy Statler. Challenges like this, along with the online community of designers I am honored to be a part of, have been my lifeline lately. My pain issues have kept me uninspired for the past few months, but challenges such as this one force me to push through it all to do what I love.  Thank you Tracy, and all the other wonderful coordinators of creative endeavors such as this, not only for the inspirational spark, but for the deadline by which I must get things done!

The stack of bracelets below take me right back to where Bead Lola Bead began ... a spool of wire, several strands of beads and a crochet hook. I've always crocheted one continuous piece and added fiber for interest when working with wire. This time I crocheted simple one-strand bangles ~ ten to be exact ~ and stacked them all together. Small, light glass beads keep the design airy and loose on your wrist. I definitely plan to make more of these ...

This next stack happens to be my personal stack and what I wear most often. I wear the two gold bracelets everyday, just as my mother had, along with the multicolored glass drops. The green apple jade and unakite bracelets were added in honor of this challenge ... I love the extra oomph!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog for this challenge!  Below are the links for the rest of the participants ... I'm off to grab a cup of coffee and do a bit of hopping myself before our busy day begins.  Happy Saturday everyone! =)

Hi,Lola:-)
The wire jewelry can be also fine, colorful and decorative.I have got one book, that shows the ways to make them.I've never been very much interested in this kind of jewels, but kate Pullen in her book has made me to like it and also admire.
Your bracelets are very beautiful with the variety of colors and shapes.I like them very much.

So wonderful that your stack included the sentimental element of your mom's along with the yummy color choices in the beads -- really puts the whole thing into a different realm. Fine work!

Oh Lola I love crocheting with beads and I'm madly in love with the first one and the colors in the second one are sublime and a easy design to wear everyday. That's for sharing that.

Hi Lola. I need deadlines to be productive too and I am glad you embraced the challenge! I love the wire crochet - really great. Your personal stack too. I wear very subdued bracelets on a daily basis and it is nice to throw in a punch of color now and then. Great post Lola. Thanks for playing along!

I love the colour scheme of your personal stack. The first stack is so pretty, are you interested in selling some? & I hear you about a challenge, it does get you moving when you would otherwise not be!

Nice stack that is with many colours one after the other and also a little good chain bracelet peeping from the middle.

Gorgeous bracelets! I adore your crocheted bangles! I want to try my hand at wire crochet soon. My fingers just itch for my crochet hook and wire just looking at your bangles. And I love your green stack as well! The gold bracelets go so well with the green.

I love challenges like this as well. I get so depressed and stressed out in my pursuit of growing my business that I lose sight of what is really important to me: creativity and a sense of family. These challenges bring those things back into my life in such a powerful and positive force.

Happy beading!

Lola, your stacked collections are so pretty! I love the colors you used, that amazing wire crochet, and the way you incorporated a sentimental piece that belonged to your Mother. :-)

That first stack really is so light and airy feeling. I can't believe there are ten of them there!! I adore the color choice as well.

Your second stack is also quite lovely. The one with all the teardrop beads gives me all kinds of inspiration.

Overall, these are some really great stacks. . .so different, but so great!
