Challenge of Color

Today is the reveal for the 3rd Annual Challenge of Color hosted by Erin and Brandi. For me, this challenge was about seizing an opportunity to, at long last, create with some beautiful dagger beads I have been hoarding for years. Every time I tried to use these beads in a design, I failed. Nothing seemed to work for me the way I wanted it to, and each time I tried I became more and more disappointed.

But not today! Today, I have some new components and I am not afraid to use them! =)  I also was lucky enough to be assigned the perfect color palette for the fulfillment of my dream to use these beads.  It was meant to be!

All it took to make this girl oh-so-very-happy were my beautiful, just-waiting-for-this-challenge daggers and some teardrop ear wire hoops that were the perfect size and gauge and ... voila! I now have some very lovely earrings that offer the perfect amount of movement and noise as I do my happy dance!  Sometimes, it's just all about the beads ...

I hope you enjoyed my simple, yet personally gratifying ear ornaments, and I hope you will take a moment or two to hop on by the blogs of all the other participants.  The color palettes we were given to work with are amazing and I can't wait to see how everyone interpreted them.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
