Focusing on Life -- #4 Create Art

This week's prompt for the year-long Focusing on Life project is to Create Art. Although I've been busy making jewelry, it has all been for either magazine submissions or upcoming blog posts that can't be shared yet. But while I was making that jewelry, I took time out to capture the window art that was the result of below-zero temps on the outside meeting up with the warmer temps of the inside. I was mesmerized by the beautiful details and snapped quite a few pics at various times of the day.   The collage below contains nine of those pics.

Although I did add a border through Pixlr, the actual photos are untouched.  Finding the right pics and placing them in the right spot on the collage template was so creatively fun!  I love Pixlr!  And I love these weekly challenges Sally! =)

If you'd like to see the posts of all those who are participating in Sally's challenge, or if you think you might like to join in on the fun yourself, head on over to The Studio Sublime for links and details.

That is a beautiful collage. I always love how frost decorates a window. It's one of those things that make me appreciate winter and you captured it wonderfully.

Gorgeous photos! I like seeing the progression throughout the day. Mother Nature is a wonderful artist, and I'm so glad you were able to capture her handiwork through these photos.

Lola these are awesome!! I have a set of cards with photos of frost, but with street lights in the background. I love how you made them as a collage here, love the sense of the window panes

Your collage is spectacular especially when taken at different times. When I was young, I remember sitting and staring at frost on the window and trying to find pictures in them. It has always intrigued me and I am fascinated by the beauty.

This is the kind of thing I could sit and take pictures of all day long! The middle one is my favorite.

Your frost pics are awesome. My windows look like that too. I guess it's January in Minnesota right.I remember tracing those frost designs on the windows when I was a kid. Your art brought back a great memory for me.

Mother Nature has provided you with gorgeous views! Sometimes people lose sight of all the beauty out there in winter - thanks for reminding us!

What a fantastic way to make art out of icey windows. I use to live in an area where we would get the same things on our windows, but never thought to take pics of them.

What a great idea for pictures, I never would of thought of that. Of course I am hoping it never gets that cold here in Northwest FL.

Those would make great backgrounds in journal art or resin bezels. Love your collage.

Oh, I absolutely love that! What a great idea!Reminds me of an Andy Warhol print...

I am no fan of the cold. . .at all, but I do like seeing what little bits of beauty that come when the temperature dips. Your crystallized windows are a perfect example. Thanks for sharing that bit of natural are and stay warm!
