Birthday Surprise Challenge Blog Hop

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THERESE!!!! I hope your day is as beautiful as you are and as colorful as the Golem beads you oh-so-generously gifted to me! Although I didn't get a chance to use all of my beads just yet, I did have a delightful time creating my very first beaded bezel for the gorgeous cabachon you pick out for me.

There were plenty of false starts and LOTS of work that needed to be ripped out, but eventually, I did it!

Thank you so much for your generosity and the opportunity to work with these beads in honor of your birthday.  You're a rare gem, my friend, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to have met you.  Not only are you inspiring me to be a better beader, but you're also inspiring me to be a better person.  Love you my friend! xo

I am so looking forward to checking out the blogs of the other Birthday Surprise Challenge participants, but will be out of town for the weekend and unable to do so until Monday.  =(
The good news though?  I get to wear my new necklace!!! =)

First time?!? You look like a pro! I have only done a handful of beaded bezels and they are hard. You did this beautifully. What great colors...your cab is so cool with all those fun dots. Happy Birthday Lola!

Lola - that is your first attempt?!? Amazing! I love the way your beads (those are size 8's?) in the bezel, somehow echo the polka dots on the cab!

Love that you chose to go monochromatic with the bezel and the skinny rope. Perfect!
